For over two decades, Steinway has been proud to count the University of Maryland being among an exclusive number of All-Steinway Institutions worldwide. Now, marking a significant milestone partnership with the University, students from all degree programs will come together to showcase their exceptional artistry at Steinway Hall for the very first time.

In collaboration with Steinway, UMD is poised to make history as the first All-Steinway Institution to live-stream a performance from the iconic Steinway Hall in New York directly to their campus, via the revolutionary Steinway SpirioCast technology. This groundbreaking advancement will enable pianists to perform on the piano in New York while simultaneously captivating the audience in Gildenhorn with the unparalleled brilliance of the acoustic Steinway piano sound paired with live video from Steinway Hall, ensuring an immersive experience unlike any other.
